The strategic aim of Sightlines/ReFocus is to become a national centre for innovation and expertise in early years' education through a research and development programme of projects, training and evaluation, offering exemplars of good practice and sharing them nationally and internationally.
The ReFocus Advisory meets every 12 weeks. The role of the advisory is to advise and steer the direction of Sightlines Initiative and the ReFocus Network. They are a group of highly committed and experienced individuals who act as champions for Sightlines and offer their support voluntarily. Advisory members are drawn from the field of early years education including government officers, artists, lecturers, LA advisers, consultants, headteachers and inspectors. The Advisory is in essence a thinking and dialogue group who work together to exchange information and ideas supporting the development of a creative and reflective pedagogy in the UK.
